It can be considered as a milestone among the multirole knives. Widely used in Afghanistan as standard issue for the soldiers of the Italian Task Force “Nibbio”, it is part of an experimental project undertaken by the “Comando Truppe Alpine” to renew the military personal equipment.

During all of the phases that led to the preparation of the mission, the Alpine Troops Command coordinated a pool of companies aimed to deliver renewed and complete individual equipment.

Extrema Ratio has been chosen to develop a multirole sturdy infantry knife to be used in any possible environment and that could successfully solve the problems that more specialized equipment proved inadequate.

The Fulcrum C, the smallest of the Fulcrum series of knives, can be considered as a backup knife with the same characteristics as its bigger brother the standard sized Fulcrum S and its giant brother the Fulcrum. All of the models are easy to clean and maintain making them an excellent everyday choice.

The excellent results obtained through the use of the Fulcrum gave rise to the idea of modifying it in such a way that it could be fixed to the issued rifle (Fulcrum Bayonet) without losing its special characteristics, thus making it a complete multipurpose tool. Incorporated into the sheath is a sharpener and an extremely efficient wire cutter.

Extremely solid and versatile, these knives are built to last and withstand incredible punishment no matter what model, full tang blade made from Austrian surgical steel N690 giving it an incredible edge and strength over 150kg without breaking at the same time, something crucial in a "do it all" survival knife. Furthermore, the neutral center of gravity and the weight of the blade make it a suitable tool for heavy field works.

The knife feels safe and secure to use and the modified Tanto blade with partial serration allows for sensitive work, rope cutting, close combat and strong stabbing actions into any material without fault.The handle is made of Forprene, making the knife comfortable to grip, secure and durable.

The new automatic hard sheath allows the knife to be carried comfortably and safely. The upper fastener secures the handle to the sheath thus preventing parachute lines to get tangled in case of a jump.
